How to spell a name over the telephone

The international protocol for spelling names over the telephone is to use the military alphabet for an alphabetic letter.


For example: to spell JANE

J for Juliet

A for Alpha

N for November

E for Echo


Here is the list to use:

B Bravo

C Charlie

D Delta

E Echo

F Foxtrot

G Golf

H Hotel

I India

J Juliet

K Kilo

L Lima

M Mike

N November

O Oscar
