How to make a telephone call to a client who ows money
1. Always begin with the salutation:” Good morning”, “Good afternoon” or “Good day”.
Why do we say the greeting before asking for the debtor?
It gives the listener time to hear you properly, before you rush on, with the rest of the conversation!
2. Speak slowly and clearly.
3. May I speak to ..................... (ask for the debtor by name).
4. When the call is put through, confirm the name of the debtor thoroughly.
5. Then give your name: “You are speaking to ......................, from ...................... " (your companies name).
6. Females debtors are called Ma’am, males are called Sir.
7. If you know the persons surname / last name, call him/her Mr, Mrs, Ms or Miss and their surname.
